Giving Ceremony The dinner was held at the Grand Hotel Mercure San Antonio, St Paul's Bay. The occasion was very festive with the winners of the year's tournaments being presented with their much deserved trophies. The night also included
presentation of the special awards that the TTA hands out annually to the most dedicated

Summer BBQ & Medal Presentation (View Photos) This BBQ held at Pebbles Lido was a new addition to the summer activities this year. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of medals to the winners of the Summer School tournaments. |

2005 Summer School Tournament One week prior to the departure of Milosz from the Academy a tournament was held for all students with the purpose of assessing the improvements done by each player throughout the summer school coaching sessions. The day consisted of knockout tournaments and plate events for Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner sections. |

SUMMER SCHOOL This year's summer school was a special one since for the first time we have hosted Milosz Przybylik from Poland to lead the summer school. Milosz has been playing as a First Division player in Poland for the last 5 years. He has a good coaching experience and last summer was involved in a summer school organised under the Irish Table Tennis Association in Belfast, Ireland.

Open Day at Civil Service Sports Club The Table Tennis Academy has celebrated its 2nd year of operation with a number of activities aimed at promoting the sport in Malta and improving the level of Table Tennis of our young generation. We have inaugurated our new premises at the Civil Service Sports Centre in Archbishop Street, Valletta, during an Open Day held on the 2nd July. These new premises are an addition to the current premises at the Royal Overseas Sports Centre in St Lucia Street in Valletta and are equipped with five 1st Class Tibhar tables to provide the highest quality facilities. The Open Day was a great success and consisted of: - various exhibition matches by the Academy coaches with the participation of the top students. - knock-out tournaments among the Academy students and their parents - coaches were available to offer technical advice to any interested persons attending the Open Day - video highlights from various international table tennis championships As part of the 2nd year celebrations we have also hosted Milosz Pryzblik from Poland who will be holding courses during the summer months both at the Civil Service Sports Centre and also at the Royal Overseas Centre. |

Annual Dinner & Trophy/Award
Presentation The annual dinner held at the Santana Hotel, Bugibba, was an opportunity for all students to meet up during the Christmas festive season and celebrate the success that the Academy has shown through the personal acheivements of all students. The trophies for all the 2004 tournaments were presented to all the winners in their respective groups with the highlight of the evening being the presentation of the awards to the major achievers. |

Training Camp
(Click here to view photos of the event) This activity was the highlight of the activities organised by the Academy as a preparation for the upcoming season 2004/05. The aims of the training camp were to build up personal stamina, improve the technical details of the various strokes of the game and discuss the main aspects that make up the game at a professional level. The program also included talks on racket preparation and maintenance and also relaxation techniques to help mental preparation before an important match. The training camp was held over a 4 day period, during which intensive training sessions were held, as well as talks on important aspects of the game, such as racket preparation and mental preparation before a tournament. The last day of the camp took the form of a round-robin tournament. A total of 10 of the Academy's students participated in the training camp and all were impressed with the results obtained and satisfied with the personal performances throughout the training sessions. At the end of the training camp it could be noted that much improvement was achieved by all the participants and that team spirit was very high. All this helped to make this activity a success. |

Summer School 2004 The summer school was organised with the aim of taking advantage of the summer holidays. The coaching sessions included a general course for the basic student and also fun games. Sessions were held twice a week on Wednesdays & Fridays for 6 weeks. The timetable also included a talk on how to prepare for a competion. There was a good attendance and was an overall success. |
