Mario comments about his games:
"I beat Albanian No 2 player at 4-1 with a game which was played in the main hall and was pretty tense as we both tried to attack on each others weakness. Ultimately my service strarted workin well and gave me a little margin over my opponent. The game ended with a great ball of topspin on topspin at table.
Next was a hard match against France which I really worked hard on. I was winning 9-8 in the first set but lost it and went on with the others giving him a good run for his money. The whole French team conglomerating to support their player as it was evident that I was not going to give up."

Simon has won both his mathces in Group 48 with decisive wins against Latvia and Kazakistan.
